Blending hiking at a relaxed pace with cultural experiences, this 12-day adventure will keep you active while still leaving you rested once you return home.
Dolomite Mountains in Italy, with their towering peaks, are one of the most spectacular places in the world. Small mountain villages and green pastures only add to unique ambiance of this South Tyrol region. And while you are in Italy you must drink some great wine and visit Venice for a day.
Once in Austria, we will continue with hikes but most importantly we will visit the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hallstatt. The region is famous for its salt mines that date back to 8th century BC. While in the region, we will stop to visit Salzburg, a birth place of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and another World Heritage Site.
The last day will be spend enjoying culinary specialties and walking through the old streets of Munich in Germany.
Itinerary: 12 Days / 11 Nights
The itinerary can be adjusted based on your desires, mountain conditions and weather forecast.
Day 1:
Everyone will arrive in Munich. To make things simple, our guide will pick you up at the airport. German pilsner for dinner?
Day 2:
We will do a couple of short walks and snap photos on our way to mountains in Italy.
Day 3-6:
Look forward to mixture of hikes and walks in the gorgeous Dolomites. We will also visit the beautiful Cortina d’Ampezzo village as well as host town to 1956 Winter Olympics. Being so close to historical Venice we will make sure to pay a visit there on one of the days.
Day 7:
Today, we will enjoy a spectacular drive to Austria and stop for a hike along the way.
Day 8-10:
Hallstatt region and Salzburg are worth exploring for their natural beauty and historical heritage. Be ready for more walking and hiking. We will visit one of the old salt mines as well.
Day 11:
You can’t go to Bavaria and not taste a couple of local specialties and beer in beautiful Munich. After all, this is the capital of Octoberfest!
Day 12:
Our guide will drive everyone flying out today to the Munich airport. Anyone staying in Europe a little longer will be given a lift to their hotel, bus or train station.

– Light hiking boots
– Small backpack that can carry all your items
– Waterproof rain jacket and pants
– Hiking pants (or shorts on warm days)
– Merino wool or synthetic sports t-shirt
– Spare dry shirt
– Warmer top layer (light fleece or insulation jacket)
– Warm hat and light gloves
– Sun hat or cap

– Personal medications (if needed)
– Soft-shell jacket (lightweight breathable jacket)
